Snowman Rebels: These Rebels use the snowmen as a disguise during the first part of Mission 3 from Metal Slug 4. They are still POWs, but they don't give anything when they're saved. By their poses, it is thought that they were trying to escape when the Sasquatch caught them. The section is home to an ordinary bear who is immune to the Sasquatch's attacks and can retaliate when woken up.įrozen POW: Exactly the same as normal POW's, but frozen as opposed to being tied up.įrozen Rebels: Victims of prolonged exposure of the Sasquatch's breath. In Mission 3 of Metal Slug 4, the Sasquatch are found in a cave at the bottom of the mountain. After the player reaches the end of the cave and mounts the Elephant Slug, mutilated corpses of the Sasquatches litter the cave as the zombies invade, implying the zombies killed the remaining Sasquatches. The Sasquatch first appear in Mission 2 inside a barred cave with a sign labeled "Iceman" at the entrance. Oddly, there is no known cases where they immediately club rather than freezing first. It is, however, possible to escape their freezing and quickly move away before the Sasquatch can kill the player. Their attacks consist of unleashing their icy breath to freeze their victims, then finish the job by bludgeoning them with a bone. A speedrun tactic is to place a zombified player on one of the leftmost spots and spam the Vomit Laser attack.The Sasquatch live in cold and inhabited areas, attacking anyone or anything that might seem to be a threat to them. The boss arena has a few blind spots where the Monoliths cannot crush the player. ![]() As seen in the concept art above, the Monoeye UFO has tentacle-like roots below its base buried underground.It is possible that whatever process the Monoeye UFO uses to make zombies has been replicated by the Amadeus Syndicate to create the zombies in Metal Slug 4, as seen with the Big John.A few obscure fringe theories even exist in real life connecting the Biblical Ten Commandments to extraterrestrial activity. The Monoliths may be a reference to the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey with notable allusions to the Ten Commandments of Biblical legend.The Monoeye UFO appears as a boss in the "Clash of the Worlds" Extra Ops, functioning much like its Metal Slug Defense counterpart. It can rapid drop Monoliths at the enemy. The Monoeye UFO appears as a boss in missions 86 and 90. Golden Monoeye UFO: A variant encountered in Metal Slug Attack, summoning a group a large area of monoliths to impede enemy movement. It can come back again for a second fight with increased durability, although it has to resummon the Monoeyes again. The gate itself is also capable of dropping monoliths to impede enemy movement. ![]() Upon being summoned to defend the gate, they then track the nearest enemy and fire shots in unison. These Monoeyes are invincible, but tied to the Monoeye Gate's durability. Monoeye Gate: A variant encountered in Metal Slug Attack, summoning a group of Monoeyes to defend it from enemies. Monoeye UFO: The original ancient spaceship. However, as the ship receives more damage, the monoliths will begin to drop faster until it becomes very difficult to dodge. Shooting them or using grenades will make them sink faster. After impact, the Monoliths will slowly sink into the ground. Its only attack is to illuminate its core, summoning monoliths with alien runes inscribed on them to fall from the sky above the player.īefore landing, a targeting laser will be zeroed on the player, indicating a planned landing spot, giving the player a moment's notice to get out of its way. After that, the spaceship will show itself. The meteorite itself is filled with radiation that can transform humans into mindless zombies, who in turn can spread the disease to others with fluids.īefore fighting this boss, the player must first defeat the Monoeyes that protect it. ![]() It is guarded by Monoeyes, who will come out to defend it from hostiles. This strange artifact of extraterrestrial origin was an ancient UFO created to serve as a beacon for the Martians.
